Farmer leader threatens Parliament seize with 40 lac tractors | Fusion - WeRIndia

Ever since the new farm laws have passed, there has been a lot of unrest in the nation. Farmers have started protesting and despite several talks, there has not been a proper resolution to the conflict between farmers and the government.

Now it looks like the conflict might escalate further. On Tuesday, the farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said that if the central government does not repeal the new three laws of agriculture, then they will take action.

The leader has threatened a gherao Parliament along with the protesting farmers. As he made this statement, he asked the farmers to be ready for his call to march to Delhi at any time. As such, this puts immense pressure on the government and has the potential to escalate the issue rapidly.

He was addressing the Kisan Mahapanchayat of United Kisan Morcha in Sikar, Rajasthan. He said that this is the right time to call for a parliament seize. After several protests, Tikait said that this time their target should be pressuring the parliament itself.

He said that when he announces, all the farmers will march there. Furthermore, he added that this time it will be 40 lakh tractors at the parliament instead of four lakh tractors.

To further add pressure, Tikait said that the march can happen anytime and the farmers should be ready for it to move to Delhi. He said that the date for the march will be decided by the leaders of the United Front.

Added to this, the farmer leader said the farmers would start ploughing the parks near India Gate and grow crops there.

Regarding the controversial events that happened on January 26, he said that it was a conspiracy to make farmers look bad during their tractor parade.
