Israel Supports the Ganga Cleaning Project | Fusion - WeRIndia

According to The Times of India, Israel has shown its interest to support the Ganga cleaning project, by sharing its proficiency on water purification and waste water treatment.

The Central Government of India under the leadership of Narendra Modi had established a target of three years to revive the polluted holy river Ganga.

It also designed an integrated plan ‘Namaami Gange’ with its first priority as preventing fresh pollutants.

Israel is renowned for its competencies in waste water treatment and purification, they have expressed their interest to involve in this project. They met Union water resources minister Uma Bharti in this regard.

Israel’s head of Economic and Trade Mission Yonatan Ben-Zaken told this in a seminar on Water Security & Waste Water Management.

11 Israeli companies and 25 Indian companies participated in this event.

Aqwise, Aqua, Biopetroclean, Nisco, and L&T, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd and National Thermal Power Corporation are some of them.
