RD’Z 1983, a startup revolutionizing healthy baking
Startups thrive on innovation, persistence, and a strong vision. Amit Soni’s RD’Z 1983 is a testament to this spirit.
Founded in Jodhpur, his bakery brand has redefined the cookie industry by incorporating millets like bajra, ragi, and jowar into its recipes.
What started as a small business has now expanded into a ₹1.5 crore annual turnover enterprise, with aspirations to grow even further.
Amit’s journey began after earning his MBA in 2009. His initial experience as a factory manager in a bakery exposed him to the workings of large-scale brands like Britannia, Parle-G, and Unibic.
Inspired by their management and processes, he envisioned a modern, health-focused bakery that would cater to evolving consumer preferences.
RD’Z 1983 is more than just a bakery; it is a brand rooted in family values. The name represents his parents, Ramesh and Durga, and their wedding year, 1983.
Unlike conventional cookie manufacturers, Amit focused on producing preservative-free cookies made with pure butter, premium nuts, and raisins.
To perfect his recipes, he conducted 96 trials to achieve the ideal balance of ingredients.
What started as a local bakery has now gained recognition in retail and online markets.
RD’Z 1983 supplies products to over 100 hotels and exports to Bahrain and Dubai. This strategic expansion has positioned the startup as a key player in the premium healthy snack market.
Amit is not stopping at ₹1.5 crore turnover. He is now planning to set up another factory in Jodhpur and aims to increase his revenue to ₹20 crore by 2027.
His vision for RD’Z 1983 is to make millet-based cookies a mainstream choice, both in India and globally.
RD’Z 1983 has a strong foundation, innovative ideas, and a focus on quality. It is set to transform the healthy baking industry with its unique approach and commitment to excellence.
