India sends strong anti-terror message during Indonesia visit

An Indian parliamentary delegation visited Indonesia for a diplomatic meeting.

The delegation included members from all political parties and was led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha.

During the visit, they met with Indonesian think tanks and scholars. They clearly expressed India’s strong position against terrorism.

The delegation emphasised that India will no longer differentiate between terrorists and the states that support them, sending a strong message to countries promoting cross-border terrorism.

During the session, Jha highlighted India’s zero-tolerance policy, stating that the country will respond with decisive military action if provoked again.

He also expressed appreciation to Indonesia and President Prabowo Subianto for condemning the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and standing in solidarity with India.

Jha further asserted that terrorism targeting Jammu and Kashmir is an orchestrated effort to disturb peace and incite communal unrest in India.

Addressing scholars and researchers, he said think tanks play a crucial role in shaping global counter-terrorism strategies and urged joint efforts to locate and expose terrorism sponsors, especially those in Pakistan.

He warned against nuclear blackmail, declaring that countries protecting terrorists cannot hide under the guise of nuclear deterrence.

India, he said, remains committed to maintaining peace but will act firmly against those disrupting it.

The delegation also held official meetings with Indonesian leaders, including parliamentary and ASEAN representatives.

Indonesia reiterated its support for India’s anti-terror stance, aligning closely with India’s call for a unified global approach.

BJP MP Brij Lal pointed out that India, as a rising global economy, cannot let terrorism derail its progress.

Congress MP Salman Khurshid noted that Indonesia, having faced similar challenges, understands India’s concerns.

BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi added that across all interactions, there was unanimous support for India’s peaceful yet firm policy.

The delegation included leaders from across political lines, the BJP, Congress, TMC, CPI(M), and diplomats, underscoring a bipartisan resolve to counter terrorism globally.

The visit is part of India’s broader effort to strengthen international cooperation and build consensus against state-sponsored terrorism.
