IRCTC ties up with AbhiBus
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) earlier announced that Railways’ passengers could get bus tickets also on its platform. For this, it has tied up with many bus service operators.
Now AbhiBus announced that it has partnered with IRCTC to provide bus tickets to customers of Railways.
With this initiative, customers of IRCTC can book both AC and non-AC bus tickets across the AbhiBus service network.
AbhiBus has a big network of bus routes. This e-ticketing platform provides services through the website as well as mobile applications. So far, AbhiBus catered to the needs of around 45 million customers since the inauguration of its online reservation system.
Now, with the partnership of IRCTC, the number is likely to increase further. Passengers of Railways can easily book online bus tickets on the same platform if they do not find a train ticket without switching to other websites.
AbhiBus says that the customers can have a hassle-free booking experience through its largest operating network. It assures them to solve their travel connectivity issues and provide promotional offers. At the same time, it expects to increase its customer base exponentially with the partnership of IRCTC.
AbhiBus has tied up with many state transport corporations with which it has a constant passenger base. On average, it has been managing to get around 30,000 bookings per day with these partnerships in the last three months.
However, the partnership with IRCTC is different, says AbhiBus. IRCTC has millions of passengers. Hence, AbhiBus expects its tie-up with IRCTC can improve daily ticket bookings further.
The partnership will also help fill the connectivity gaps as it can provide alternative travel options to passengers of Railways where train tickets are not available to them.
