Celebrate Digital Diwali

In the wake of alarming pollution, most people especially youth are not bursting firecrackers on Diwali. Yet, still there is a need of awareness among people.

This year, the Apex Court put restrictions on firecrackers considering the health consequences on citizens.  You might be aware of the Supreme Court’s verdict on limiting the bursting time of crackers.

The court allowed only two hours of time to burst firecrackers. The two hours can be decided by the State governments.

Except in Tamil Nadu, all the major cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Goa and New Delhi, the crackers can be burst during 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. In Chennai, the two hours slot is from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Though the court ordered for only two hours on the day of Diwali, the state governments are following their own rules. For instance, in Karnataka, crackers are allowed to be burst daily two hours from November 5 to 8.

In this scenario, several apps are allowing people to celebrate digital Diwali. As children are the main target audience interested in bursting firecrackers, these apps help them stay away with firecrackers and thereby reducing pollution.

These apps are fun filled. So, use them for your children so that they can limit their bursting time of firecrackers. However, keep an eye and control them to avoid addiction to the digital world.

Some apps include Zynga Poker, World Series of Poker, Poker GamesandPoker Masters.  These are some poker apps.

Diwali Crackers, Diwali fireworks, Bheem Diwali Firework app etc. allow the users to burst virtual crackers including flowerpots, chakras, bombs and rockets. Children like them too as they will be similar to a game.

Sending e-greetings using apps like Canva and Adobe Spark to your friends and colleagues is also one of the ways to celebrated Diwali digitally.
