Ceiling Cooler is an innovative and unique design made by Gopal Kumar Saluja from Haryana. It consists of a ceiling fan and a submersible water pump with motor. It has a cylindrical water container with grass pad and arrangement for continuous water flow which exists in normal desert coolers.  Ceiling cooler fan uses cotton strips which are dipped in water. These strips are always kept moist. They are covered in an aluminum mesh to provide extra cooling. Air comes through these strips when the fan is turned on. They cool the room by capillary suction. This fan is a very useful and cost-effective solution which replaces air coolers and air conditioners.
