Pulwama Terror Attack

44 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The incident happened on Thursday evening when a suicide bomber belonging to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militant group crashed a vehicle carrying around 300 kg of explosives into the convoy bus carrying CRPF jawans.

Several others were injured in this.

Most of the CRPF jawans were returning from leave to rejoin in the duty. They were travelling in a convoy of 78 vehicles carrying 2,500 jawans.

This deadliest and terrible terror attack shocked the entire country. Several people from different fields expressed their condolences to the martyrs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several other Union Ministers and other political leaders like Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to the CRPF martyrs at New Delhi’s Palam airport on Friday evening.

Pulwama terror attack was carried out by JeM militant Adil Ahmad Dar.

In this context, India insisted a ban on the JeM Chief Masood Azhar and his terrorist activities.

The country wants to hold talks with the United States to bring resolution in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on the terrorist activities.

However, China did not give assurance to the appeal of India on banning the terrorist group.

China, a close ally of Pakistan has constantly been blocking the moves of India in designating Azhar as a global terrorist by putting technical holds.

Immediately after the shocking incident of Pulwama terror attack, India slammed Pakistan and asked to stop supporting terrorists and demanded to dismantle all terror infrastructure that are operating from its soil.

The country strongly emphasized its appeal to all members of the international community to support the proposal to list terrorists and to ban all terrorist organizations including JeM operating from territories and controlled by Pakistan.
