ISRO marked a major milestone by launching its heaviest satellite, CMS-03, weighing about 4,410 kg, aboard the LVM3-M5 ‘Bahubali’ rocket from Sriharikota. It was the first instance of placing a satellite over 4,000 kg into geosynchronous transfer orbit from Indian soil.
